Baeble Music, which produces live concert programming highlighting emerging bands from the best venues across the US, has announced a deal with the UK-based broadband TV Global Digital Broadcast (GDB) in order to launch its 24 hour music channel on GDB’s PlayTV UK service.
PlayTV UK, one of GDB’s international IPTV offerings, is a new British broadcast network that provides a triple play package (within the UK) including IPTV, telephony and broadband services. A total of 10,000 subscribers are believed to have already signed to the PlayTV UK service, which began to rollout in January 2008.
Baeble Music will also be included across GDB’s other territory services, in America (brand: SuncasTV); Europe and the Middle East (brand: Via America); the Philippines (brand: IPQube); and is about to launch a Russian service (brand: MaksTV).
GDB also provides set-top boxes which enable viewers to watch its channels on television sets, as well as on PCs and compatible devices.Users can visit the Baeble Music website and preview each show in free streaming format. They can also purchase the entire show as a DVD or high-resolution Windows Media download.
