A revamp of its product portfolio helped Spanish cablenet ONO increase its TV subscribers by 51,000 in the fourth quarter of 2007, reaching 960,000 by December 31, 2007.
The launch of a slew of new TV packages in the third quarter, including the entry point TV Esencial, helped increase cable customers as a proportion of the total by 0.5 percentage points to 51.6% on the quarter.
The total number of cable customers grew by 29,000 on the quarter to 1,859,000. However, churn continues to climb to 19.9% at the end of December, from 16.3% at the end of the previous quarter. Growth also in broadband and telephony: from 1,160,000 to 1,203,000 and 1,595,000 to 1,605,000 respectively.
Full year revenues dipped slightly from €1,633 million in 2006 to €1,616m in 2007, as EBITDA climbed by 15% year on year to €642m.
