Lehman Brothers Holdings has joined Eli Barkat in talks to acquire a 15% stake in the Israeli network HOT Cable Systems.
The holding has been placed on the market by Bank Leumi, and according to local reports, both companies are interested in increasing their stake further.
IDB Holding Corp and Discount Investment Corporation, the operator of Cellcom Israel, have also been named as interested parties. Cellcom in particular sees the holding as a strategic move against rival Partner Communications.
