International speakers line up at ANGA Cable 2008

anga_cable_logo.gifKey industry thought leaders from across the broadcast spectrum will be present at ANGA Cable 2008. The annual event, held in Cologne, Germany from May 27 to 29, is emphasising both its international and cross platform credentials.

Heading the line up of the International Day (May 28) will be keynote speaker, Eutelsat CEO, Giuliano Berretta (CEO Eutelsat). He will be joined by: Thomas Hintze (CEO UPC Austria), Duco Sickinghe (CEO Telenet Belgium), Mario Mella (CTO Fastweb Italy), Harald Rösch (CEO HanseNet/Alice Germany), Klaus Thiemann (CEO Kabel BW Germany) and leading representatives of Alcatel-Lucent and Scientific Atlanta.

Simultaneous translation will be available in English and German.

The event gets underway on May 27 with the Strategy Summit featuring senior representatives from German network operators and content providers. The conference will be hosted by Thomas Braun (ANGA Association of German Cable Operators) with contributions from Dr Adrian von Hammerstein (CEO, Kabel Deutschland), Parm Sandhu (CEO, Unitymedia Group), Ferdinand Kayser (CEO, SES-Astra), Dr Andreas Bereczky (ZDF), Jürgen Doetz (VPRT), Werner Hanf (NetCologne) and Marc Schröder (Deutsche Telekom) there will be a first-class panel discussion.

Two technology panels will feature headend and systems for Next Generation Networks and On demand and IP-based broadband solutions.The exhibition area will boast 350 exhibitors from 29 countries.www.angacable.com
