UPC Netherlands will expand its offer of HD television this year with three more channels. During the second quarter the operator will add Voom HD and The History Channel HD to its current line-up.
Later this year, movie and series channel MGM-HD will be added. During the summer, the cable company will distribute a temporary HD channel from the Dutch public broadcaster NOS to broadcast the Euro 2008 football championship and the Olympic Games from Beijing in HD.
The current UPC HD line-up consists of National Geographic HD, Discovery HD and the premium channels Film1 HD and Sport1 HD. Later this year, UPC will make an HD PVR from Philip available.
