The Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus will broadcast Euro 2008 in HD, according to Anna Dmitreva, the director of its sports channels. Quoted in the local press, she added that NTV-Plus had secured the HD rights to the football championships this summer in Austria and Switzerland and would be showing games on the proprietary channel HD Sport. NTV-Plus introduced HD services into Russia, launching three channels in the format in April last year.
