Dutch home shopping channel LiveShop will cease all activities tomorrow, March 1, Chellomedia said today. The closure of the channel follows the earlier bankruptcy of minority shareholder Tel Sell after which viewers apparently lost confidence. Late last year Chellomedia reported disappointing results with the channel citing high analogue distribution costs. On January 9, a judge declared both Tel Sell and LiveShop bankrupt, but Chellomedia, an 80% shareholder in the channel, decided to continue operations.
