The German cable association Deutsche Kabelverband is set to merge with ANGA later this year, the two organisations said. The country’s three largest operators – Kabel Deutschland (KDG), Unitymedia and Kabel BW – are currently represented in the Kabelverband. ANGA meanwhile brings together medium sized operators such as PrimaCom, Tele Columbus and wilhelm.tel. The joint organisation will represent ompanies with a total of 19 million cable subscribers. The two offices in Bonn (ANGA) and Berlin (Deutsche Kabelverband) will continue to be operated. Peter Charissé is MD of ANGA and Ralf Heublein of the Kabelverband, and they will jointly head the merged organisation.
