The DVB Project has announced a licensing programme covering patents essential to its Content Protection and Copy Management technology (CPCM). The organisation is to hold a meeting of CPCM technology holders in Budapest on March 12, alongside the DVB World conference.
It follows an initial meeting held last December in Geneva that was attended by 12 companies.
The CPCM technical specification was recently finalised and approved by the DVB Steering Board for formal standardisation by ETSI.
