Russia’s Gazprom Media is looking at the possibility of an IPO, according to its head, Nikolay Senevich. In a wide-ranging interview with the local press, he said that a decision on such a move would be taken by the company’s shareholders. Senevich added that the company’s net earnings in 2007 before VAT amounted to $1.27 billion (€856.8 million), or 44% more than the previous year, while net profit was up by 50% to $180 million. NTV accounted for 40% of Gazprom Media’s earnings, with the DTH platform NTV-Plus and entertainment channel each claiming 20%.
