Data produced by the Russian Association of Advertising Agencies (RACA) shows that total ad spend in the country amounted to R228.7 billion (€6.32 billion) in 2007, or 26% more than the previous year. Although TV remained the leading medium, accounting for almost 50% (R112.5 billion) of the total, Internet spend was the fast growing, the R5.8 billion being around double that in 2006. Russia’s ad market as grown annually by around 30% since 2000 and will soon be one of the largest in Europe.
