Trials of HBO HD are likely to get under way next month in Poland, with a full launch possible as soon as April 1. According to local reports, it is as yet not known who will carry the service, though the DTH platform is a likely candidate to be among the first. On the other hand, the rival service Cyfrowy Polsat cannot offer HBO HD for at least a few months due to a lack of suitable decoders. Reports indicate that HBO would like its clients to make the HD channel available for around PLN5-6 (€1.4-1.7) a month.
