The French Canal+ Group said it has now reached 250,000 subscribers for its mobile TV service on the SFR and Bouygues Telecom networks using 3G, 3G+ and EDGE unicast technology. The service was launched in the spring of 2005 with the Canalsat bouquet, followed later that year by Canal+ premium content. The operator said that the unlimited access in a bundle on SFR is particularly successful. The Canal+ premium offer consists of mobile versions of the various series on the channel, and content across the four thematic mobile channels Humor, Cine/Serie, Sport/Info and Charme (erotic). The Canalsat Mobile bouquet offers over 50 channels, of which 20 are “exclusive” to the platform.
