UPC Broadband Slovakia has revealed its strategy for this year. Speaking to the local press, its head Martin Mataseje said it would extend digital TV services, currently available in the capital, Bratislava, to the towns of Trnava, Kosice and Zilina, while Bardejov, Levice, Michalovce, Spisska Nova Ves and Trencin would be offered Internet access. He added that the company is also spending “millions of crowns” on re-branding its product. UPC Broadband Slovakia’s digital TV service made its debut last year and currently offers subscribers 80 TV channels, of which around half are in either the Czech or Slovak languages.
