Orange has entered into a partnership with UPC to offer quadruple play services in Romania. According to local reports, the two companies carried out a trial in the cities of Focsani, Giurgiu, Ploiesti, Suceava and Tulcea that ended in January. Richard Moat, the head of Orange Romania, confirmed the partnership but added that it was still too early to say how things would develop and when the company would offer TV services. RCS/RDS and Rometelecom, UPC’s two principal rivals, already have a partnership with the mobile company Cosmote.
