The now dominant Spanish cablenet ONO has reported an EBITDA growth of 15%, reaching €642 million, adding 104,000 RGUs in the fourth quarter. There were 29,000 new customers, 51,000 new TV RGUs, 43,000 broadband Internet and 10,000 telephony. ONO is enjoying a high of 1.859 million customers.
The company intends to report its full year results on March 25, when 2008 guidance will also be issued.
EBITDA margin for 2007 grew by 5.5 percentage points, returning ONO to margins close to those enjoyed before the acquisition of Auna in November 2005.
During 2007, ONO made 458,000 homes within reach of its fibre optic service available to marketing, while capital expenditure made its predicted reduction. €535 million was spent in the fourth quarter compared to €590 million in 2006.
