Christine Albanel, the French minister of culture and communication, and Christian Estros, secretary of state, have ordered the media authority CSA to start investigating the possibilities for DTT broadcasts in the overseas territories. Council member Alain Méar will study the French Caribbean, Guyana, New Caledonia, La Réunion and Mayotte and French Polynesia. The report should be ready by the end of the first quarter.
