Ypso, the French holding company of MSO Numéricable, is interested in acquiring the French operations of Alice from its owner, Telecom Italia, according to newspaper reports. For the moment, none of the two parties want to confirm such interest. Alice has 882,000 customers in France and is up for sale. Some time ago, Neuf Cegetel was interested, but meanwhile acquired Club Internet and AOL France. A sale of Alice France is thought would be worth between €600-650 million.
