Romania’s Intact Media Group has been awarded licences for three new channels from the National Audiovisual Council (CNA). The first, known as Arena TV Sport, will offer mostly sports info and entertainment, with in-house productions accounting for 70% of total airtime. The second, Top TV, will be a music channel and allocate 60% of its airtime to in-house productions, while in the third, Business TV, the total will be 90%. The Intact Media Group, which I s owned by the Voiculescu family, already includes five TV stations in its media portfolio. It expects to invest around €100 million in the three new services, all of which will make their debuts later this year.
