The Czech Digital Televisions Association (ADT) is to cease its activities, according to a local report. It was founded in 2006 to represent six companies – Ocko, Febio TV, TV RTA, TV Pohoda and TV Barrandov – that were awarded digital TV licences and subsequently had them withdrawn following protests from, amongst others, the national commercial station TV Nova. Although the licences were reinstated in a ‘compensatory’ form late last year, RTA, TV Pohoda and Febio TV have yet to make their plans public. TV Barrandov and Z1, however, have said they expect to start broadcasting later this year. Ocko is meanwhile already a well-established, albeit still analogue, service.
