Nine French broadcasters have submitted bids for the French Ligue 1 rights with the football league LFP. There are 12 different lots available for the period 2008 – 2012. The League has issued no details about the parties taking part in the tender, but French press reports say all major broadcasters are involved, including Canal+, TF1, M6 and France Télévision. Also taking part are relatively small broadcasters such as Bolloré (Direct8) and Eurosport, which made a bid separate from mother company TF1. The online video website Dailymotion and mobile operators SFR and Orange have also submitted bids.
