The German Commission for the Protection of Youth and Media (KJM) has told 13 commercial broadcasters to withdraw advertising for adult service on their teletext pages, said KJM director Wolf-Dieter Ring. The deadline is this Thursday, January 24th. If the broadcasters do not comply, the KJM has the authority to issue fines. However, Ring hopes they will act responsibly and comply. Also in The Netherlands, politicians are complaining about such text based advertising being available all day.
