A decision on the privatisation of the incumbent Slovenian telco Telekom Slovenije will be made by the country’s Economy Ministry at the end of this week. According to a local report, the two bidders left in the process are the Icelandic company Skipti and a consortium of BT Global Services, Axos Capital and Bain Capital. Magyar Telekom, one a several companies that dropped out of the bidding, is meanwhile predicted to put in an offer for the Ukrainian incumbent, whose on-off privatisation may now finally be going ahead.
