Comstar-UTS has announced that it now has 100,000 subscribers for its DNT-TV branded pay-TV service in southern Russia. DNT-TV made its debut in November 2005 and is currently available in – amongst others – Azov, Belaya, Shakhty and Rostov-on-Don. Initially offering 50 mostly Russian language satellite channels and leading FTA services, it introduced a premium digital package in Rostov-on-Don last August. Its current package will shortly be increased from 80 to 100 channels and supplemented by high-speed Internet access. Comstar-UTS will also give a debut to an IPTV service in the region in Q1 this year.
