The Amsterdam Court will today declare bankruptcy for the travel channel Liberty TV. Last December the channel filed for protection, but was unable to raise new capital to continue operations. It is the third failure of Dutch shopping channels following the demise of Tel Sell and LiveShop earlier this month. The Dutch Liberty TV operated under a licence from the Luxembourg based company with the same name that operates channels in France and Belgium. The channel reached about one million Dutch digital homes, probably not enough to sustain such a venture.
