PBLSat has renewed its contract on Eutelsat’s W2 satellite for a further three years. It has also purchased 36MHz of capacity on Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 1 for three years. London-based PBLSat provides Occasional Use satellite services to the global broadcast marketplace and plans to use W2 and Atlantic Bird capacity to service its European SNG news and sports operations. W2 covers Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, while Atlantic Bird 1 serves Europe but extends as far as the Gulf States.
