The incumbent Lithuanian telco TEO LT is expected to launch a full DTT service in the first quarter this year. This will be possible following last week’s acquisition of a 100% stake in UAB Nacionalné Skaitmeniné Televizija, a company spun off from the MMDS operation Mikrovisatos TV and licensed to distribute 24 channels via DTT. TEO LT launched a DTT service in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, in July 2006. It also operates an IPTV service named Gala TV that currently has around 15,000 subscribers.
