The DTT multiplex (B) operated by the Czech Digital Group (CDG) plans to expand its coverage beyond Prague to the cities of Brno and Ostrava, according to CDG’s head Leo Pohl. Speaking in an interview in the local press, he added that paid-for channels are likely to be introduced on DTT no sooner than 2011. The Czech Republic currently has a total of three DTT multiplexes, the other two of which are operated by the transmission company Radiokomunikace (A) and Telefónica O2 (C), though the latter is still in an experimental phase.
