A legal dispute is reported to have broken out between a number of small alternative providers and the incumbent Croatian telco T-HT. The former, which include Markotel.te, Megafon and Kreativne Tehnologije, allege that the Deutsche Telekom backed company violates the country’s telecom law by requiring them to sign restrictive contracts for access to its infrastructure. T-HT operates an IPTV platform named MAXtv. Although this faces competition from at least two services operated by alternative carriers, T-HT has been generally slow to unbundle the local loop.
