Virgin Media has announced that Charles Gallagher is to become the cablenet’s new senior vice president – finance. The move means Gallagher will resign from the board of directors of Virgin Media with George Zoffinger succeeding him as chairman of the audit committee.
Gallagher originally joined the board of the former NTL in September 2003. He has worked for ventures owned by Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase & Co, US Bancor, IBM, GE Capital and Ebay. He will report to Jacques Kerrest, Virgin Media’s Chief Financial Officer, who has himself signed a new agreement extending his existing contract to December 31, 2008.
