The Polish National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has announced that it has awarded a satellite licence to a new channel named TVN International West. Operated by ITI Group, it will join a portfolio of TVN-branded channels that includes TVN24, TVN Turbo and TVN Style. Although the service will be aimed at viewers living in the West, it is at this stage unclear how it will be differentiated from iTVN, a channel launched in April 2004 that is received in North America, Australia and Germany.
