The members of the Program Council of the Croatian public broadcaster HRT have presented the projection of the business plan for 2008 and stressed that it will be much more difficult than previous years. The net profit is expected to reach HRK16 million (€2.19 million, with problems being caused by high credit liabilities and the high cost of purchased programmes. HRT will record a 6% growth of income from subscriptions and marketing respectively, the total reaching HRK1.5 billion. Business expenditures should rise by 3% to HRK1.48 billion. Meanwhile in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, MPs discussing a business report on the national broadcaster BHRT have concluded that its financial situation is extremely difficult and threatening future operations. They have also demanded the supervisory boards to implement all the recommendations of auditors as soon as possible.
