There is little sign of Christmas goodwill between Mediapro and Sogecable in the long running football dispute. In a statement, Mediapro said a Madrid court had issued an injunction preventing Sogecable’s Audiovisual Sport division from selling on its football rights to third parties.
Last weekend Sogecable licensed Gestevision Telecinco to screen a Spanish premier league match between Barcelona and Valencia.
Mediapro claimed that such dealings were against the terms of the 2006 contract held by Sogecable.
