Vladimira Chlandová, the general counsel for UPC Czech Republic, has informed the local press that the company will have to spend in the region of CZK100 million (€3.84 million) to distribute a number of new channels that will shortly be launched in the country. They include the six digital services that were awarded and subsequently had licences withdrawn last year, only for them to be reinstated again when new legislation comes into effect at the beginning of 2008.
