The French media authority CSA has launched a public consultation on the analogue switch off planned for November 30, 2011. The authority will prepare a switch off schedule and is now seeking ideas from both professional users and consumers on the process.
The frequency spectrum that will become available after switch-off can be used for new services such as terrestrial HD broadcasts, as well as digital radio and mobile TV transmissions. The closing date for submissions is February 4, 2008.
