The Polish alternative telco Netia has announced that it now has over 200,000 broadband Internet subscribers. It has also signed an agreement with P4, the operator of the mobile network Play, which will allow it to launch a mobile and convergent offer sometime in 2008. Netia lists Novator Telecom Poland (25.24%), Third Avenue Management (16.39%) and SISU Capital (6.10%) as its principal shareholders. Its nearest competitors are Dialog and GTS Energis in a market still dominated by the incumbent Telekomunikacja Polska (TPSA), which operates the country’s leading IPTV service, videostrada.
