Cablecom is to introduce a maximum broadband speed of 25 Mbps from January 15, 2007. The Swiss cablenet is pricing the new package at a monthly SFr75 (€45.19) and will also enable subscribers to upload to the internet at speeds of 2.5 Mbps.
From March 2008 customers on the current 10 Mbps top speed will be upgraded to 15 Mbps at no increase to the existing SFr65 pricepoint.
The new speeds will not be available everywhere on the Cablecom network. Customers who due to be upgraded will receive a letter during December and from January 15 it will be possible to check online as to the speeds available in a particular area.
