TV Vlaanderen boosts thematic offer

December 6, 2007 07.07 Europe/London By Robert Briel

The Belgian DTH operator TV Vlaanderen has launched its new bouquet of thematic channels on the Astra position at 23.5 degrees East. In conjunction with its Dutch sister company Canal Digitaal Satelliiet, a new thematic package is availabl,e offering Discovery Science, Discover Travel & Living, National Geographic Wild, the Flemish lifestyle channel Vitaliteit, Playboy TV and, for a one month trial period, E! Entertainment.

Sometime next year the line-up of channels will be augmented with the MGM Movie Channel. This is the Dutch version, which originated from Chellomedia’s Digital Media Centre in Amsterdam. Although no official announcement has been made, it is believed the movie channel will also be part of the Canal Digitaal Satelliiet offer.
