Data produced by the World Internet Project shows that 35% of homes in Hungary now have Internet access, and of these 83% use broadband rather than dial-up connections. All told, some 45% of people aged 14+ now use the Internet regularly, and 65% of users download or listen to music online. Much smaller numbers – 22% and 18% – do so to shop or for banking. The overall Internet usage figure in Hungary is 14% up on that in 2006.
