Germany is hoping to complete its DTT rollout next year. In May the remaining areas of the state of Bavaria will be covered, according to Thorsten Mann-Raudies, chairman of the DVB-T-Taskforce of public broadcasters ARD and ZDF, to be followed in August and September by Rhineland-Palatinate.
No exact dates have as yet been planned for the closure of the remaining black spots in Saxony-Anhalt and Thüringen. By year end 2008, about 90% of the German population should have access to DTT transmissions.
