The Russian MPEG-4-delivered DTH platform Tricolor TV has announced that it will extend its coverage to Siberia from December 10 this year. By doing so, it should each a further 22 million viewers. Its programme packages will also have a new format from March 1, 2008. One of three DTH operations in Russia, Tricolor TV is distributed by Eutelsat W4 at 36 degrees East and currently offers three programme packages. The first, consisting of the 15 main channels in Russia, is available free of charge, while the second offers 12 channels without any commercials. The third offers the adult channels Russian Nights and Night Club. Tricolor TV Sibir will be distributed by the Russian satellite Bonum 1 at 56 degrees East.
