There were 289,000 set-top boxes used to receive digital terrestrial TV services in the Czech Republic as of this August, according to local reports. Analogue signals were switched off in the Domazlice region at the end of the month, giving a boost to the number. More parts of the country are set to follow as it gears up for ASO, due to take place no sooner than October 10, 2010 and by the end of 2012 at the latest. DTT services, distributed by two multiplexes, are currently available in Brno, Ostrava, Usti nad Labem and the capital, Prague, as well as in Domazlice.
