Turner Broadcasting System Europe is to launch a 12-hour version of Nuts TV on both the Sky and Virgin Media platforms. The joint venture with IPC magazines has been running a four-hour service on the Freeview DTT platform since September.
Speaking to the Broadcasting Press Guild, Casey Harwood Senior Vice President, Digital Media, at Turner Broadcasting System Europe, said the extended service would look beyond the live format seen on Freeview to include some acquisitions and material drawn from Adult Swim, which is currently available in the UK market as a branded block on Bravo.
Harwood said the Nuts TV format would be explored in other TV markets, possibly with other local partners.
