From this December the new Nat Geo Music channel will become available in Latin America. It is the newest service from National Geographic Channels International, which was first launched in Italy last September, with the move to the southern parts of the Americas is part of the expansion plan, as reported in Broadband TV News.
Music clips will be supplied by major record companies including EMI Arabia, Warner Music Latin America, Sony/BMG Asia and Universal Italy. Apart from the clips, there will also be specially made acoustical recordings by artists such as Ben Harper, Bebel Gilberto, K’naan, Michael Franti and Gogol Bordello in a series called ‘Geo Sessions’, the world music alternative to ‘MTV Unplugged’.
