Measat Broadcast Network Systems, the owner and operator of Malaysian pay-TV service Astro, and NDS Group have announced contracts for the licensing and deployment of the VideoGuard conditional access system for its
DTH Pay TV services. The company plans to progressively migrate to the VideoGuard system. At present Astro deploys Mediahighway middleware as its operating system. The utilization of VideoGuard will provide Astro
with a single and consolidated CAS/middleware provider.
