According to data produced by Hungary’s National Communications Authority (NHH), the number of cable modems in the country rose by 2.71% in September this year to 377,000. At the same time, the number of ADSL homes went up by 1.46% to 713,000. The NHH complies its figures using information supplied by the established and alternative telcos Emitel, Hungarotel, Invitel, Magyar Telekom, Monortel, PanTel, Tele2, GTS Datanet and eTel, as well as the cable operators UPC, T-Kábel, Fibernet and Digi.
