The Polish MSO Aster has announced that it ended Q3 with 370,000 cable TV subscribers, or only 4,000 more than 12 months earlier. However, the take up of its digital TV service – 50,000, as opposed to 40,000 in Q3 2006 – rose more significantly over the period, as did that for broadband Internet access (120,000 v 102,000) and telephony (50,000 v 30,000). Aster is the fourth largest cable operator in Poland after UPC, Multimedia Polska and Vectra and is present in Warsaw, Kraków and Zielona Góra.
