TV4 Sport is to join the Viasat programming package from January 2008. The channel will be available in Viasat’s satellite and IPTV packages alongside Viasat’s proprietary sports channels Viasat Sport 1-3.
Viasat has also secured distribution of TV4 and its suite of other digital channels TV4 Film, TV4 Fakta and TV400 through until 2011.
TV4 Sport is part owned by the Expressen newspaper group and has already secured distribution on the Canal Digital, Tele2 and Telia platforms. In September it displaced Eurosport on the basic analogue package of Sweden’s dominant cable operator Com Hem.
