TVN24 remains by far the most popular thematic channel in Poland. According to data produced by TNS OBOP, it claimed an audience share of 4.03% amongst viewers aged 4+ in October, as opposed to 2.29% 12 months earlier. Its nearest competitor, the children’s channel Mini Mini, accounted for less than quarter of this figure (0.94%), and was followed by three more children’s channels – Disney Channel, Jetix and Cartoon Network, with 0.67%, 0.47% and 0.46% respectively. TVN24 was also in first position in the 16-49-age group, both nationally (2.7%) and in urban areas (3.69%). TNS OBOP also found TVP1and TVP2 to be the most popular channels as a whole in October (22.85% and 18.30%), followed by Polsat (16.01%) and TVN (15.95%) in the 4+-age group. TVP1 was also in top spot in the 16-49-age group nationally (19.59%), though TVN (19.64%) led in urban areas.
