Sony brings SET and Animax to Africa

Sony Pictures Television International will today launch the general entertainment channel Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and the anime channel Animax in Africa on MultiChoice’s digital pay-TV satellite platform DStv.

Launching with the tagline “100% Entertainment,” SET will target viewers aged 15 to 49. It is currently seen across 100 countries, reaching more than 70 million households and broadcast in three languages. Touting the tagline “Open A New World,” Animax offers viewers anime from around the globe. The channel is primarily targeted at the 15-to-29 demographic and already available in Asia and Latin America. Animax currently airs 24 hours a day in 36 million homes in 38 countries and in 11 languages.
